The Striders Adventures is a team of joyful and energetic animals and their people, Rachel and Marc, who, after roaming Europe and Scandinavia all together and spent several years in a more remote part of Sweden, have settled on the coast, in Gävleborg.
In 2026, the Striders tribe counts 17 Alaskan huskies , the mascot and witch cat Milwyn and two beautiful horses, Ola and Vixen.

Here are the members of the pack as of 2026.

In 2020, during the COVID crisis, we adopted our first Alaskan husky, Bobby in Finland. Followed shortly after by his brother Quint..and 6 other ones at the beginning of 2021. The first steps into a big adventures and a 180 degree turn in our lives!
Since, the tribe has welcome more members, mostly adopted or rescued, with a few exceptions and three adorable “surprise ” puppies on the last day of 2024. Some dogs also left us too soon…
In 2026, the pack counts 17 Alaskan huskies, with Bobby and Axxa enjoying life as sport buddies and farm supervisors 😉

We have taken part in 7 short and mid-distance races between 2023 and 2025 and have…won them all!
The Mid Distance titles:
The race team was made of:
Sporty, Baby, Posh, Oak, Hazel, Vinku, Pezo – as well as Typy (d.-22) and Hassu, Vikten joined in 2025.
In 2026, we’re planning a few new races, with the three youngsters in the team..!

Ola joined the tribe in 2012, a bit unexpectedly! She’s a Portugese x PRE mare, now aged 23 (sshhht she doesn’t know it). She’s been following Rachel on many trips through Europe and has already lived in Finland, Norway, Slovenia and now Sweden. She never minds traveling and moving from one place to the other, as long as her comfort is assured: food, water, safety and tons of attention! Ola and Milwyn are the ones you cannot deny anything! She has temper! and knows she’s a queen.
She’s extremely smart, wise, and loves learning new things or she gets bored. She’s incredible as a coaching partner.

Vixen is one of these horses who got lucky. She came to us in November 2024. She’s a beautiful pure Swedish Warmblood who raced for a couple of years before being a breeding mare for 6 years. When her time in breeding was up, her owners had her fate sealed … If it hadn’t been for the man who had been taken care of her, she’d be in another kind of paradise.
Vixen was too sweet, too young, too beautiful to die aged 10. She’s now enjoying paradise on earth with us !
She’s such a delicate soul, very sensitive and absolutely perfect to be part of our animal-assisted coaching team.

We use Mindfulness, Animal Intuitive Healing & Communication
along with more traditional training methods to build a strong relationship and overcome
any trauma and issues with our animals.
With the horses, Rachel works a lot with the TRT method to get balanced and harmonious horses.
Having healthy and happy animals is crucial for us and to the work we do with them abnd our clients.

Sweet little deamon! Milwyn is our little treasure, and a very special cat. She communicates with us better than any other in the tribe. Probably because she arrives in our family when she was barely three weeks old. She’s always been travelling with us and feels at home in the truck and at any new place we land.
There’s so much to tell about her, that reading the whole story is the best thing to do!
